Here at Inc, we believe in rewarding our loyal raiders. In order to facilitate this philosophy, as of Feb 19th, 2010 we will be using a new DKP system. This section is dedicated to help explain it to guildies, pugs, or anyone interested in how our guild handles loot in our 25-man raids.
-=[USING DKP WITH PUGS]=-
In cases where our raids may contain people not within our guild, the following system will be used when a piece of gear drops.
A MAIN SPEC /roll is called for by ANYONE able to use the item, and for whom it would be an upgrade. (If no one rolls, there will be a separate OFFSPEC roll for EVERYONE, which will not cost anyone in our guild DKP points.) If a PUG wins the roll, that is his 1 piece of loot for the raid. Grats. If ANYONE from the guild wins the roll, the loot then goes to our DKP system. (NOTE: This means that the winning roller does not automatically win the loot if they are on our DKP system!) An announcement will be made for all players on our DKP system to whisper a designated officer with !need. This command can also be typed in /ra.
The bidder with the highest amount of current DKP wins the item, and loses half of their current total. -=[EXAMPLE]=- Player Name EXAMPLE Starting DKP Cortalos 20 Jhink 30 A 1-handed caster Mace drops, and a MAIN SPEC roll is called. Cortalos rolls an 84 Jhink rolls a 14 A PUG rolls a 54 Since a member won the roll, the item now goes into the guild DKP system. Bidding begins for anyone on the guild DKP system, Cortalos and Jhink both bid on the item, Jhink wins it since he had more starting DKP, and he loses half of his current total. The final DKP amounts are shown below.

-=[EARNING DKP]=-
There are several ways of earning DKP, not explicitly limited to being in our raid at the time of a boss death. Below is a brief list of ways you can earn DKP.
• Showing up to raids on-time. • Killing bosses. • Per hour on progression content. • Staying until completion of the raid. The 4 methods listed above can apply to people that are both in the raid with us, or those people that are online, and on standby.
-=[DKP Cost]=-
All gear will have DKP cost equal to half of your current DKP. If you have 2 DKP points, it costs 1, if you have 50 points, it costs 25. Our DKP mods will also keep track of fractional DKP points. These may be dropped at any time to remove enormous decimals. This may result in a small "decay" of your fractional DKP points if you accumulate a large amount of loot in a VERY short amount of time.
-=[STANDBY DKP]=-
If more than 25 players show up for a raid, the additional people can still earn DKP to use to purchase their gear in future raids. At the beginning of a raid, whenever a boss is killed, and at 1 hour intervals, a callout will be made in Guild Chat, allowing players to earn DKP that are not in the raid. Generally the macro will look something like this: ***************************** is dead! Whisper !STANDBY ADD to me to be added to the standby DKP list! (2mins Remaining) ***************************** When you whisper that command, you should see something like this: This will mean you've been added to the Standby DKP list, and will receive the upcoming points to be awarded for the boss kill, or time spent wiping.
-=[ROTTING LOOT]=-
If no one bids on a piece of loot for their main-spec, an offspec roll will be called for. The highest /roll wins the loot without spending any DKP.
-=[PUGS ON DKP]=-
If a PUG wishes to opt in to our DKP system, they are free to do so, however they cannot “change their mind” until after the current raid has ended, or until the next raid begins. There is no switching back and forth from boss-to-boss.
If you wish to be included, please contact Anklegrabber or Kilzoth to have your character added to our list.
-=[DKP FOR ALTS]=-
Sharing DKP between alts will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In general this will NOT be allowed unless special arrangements have been made, or extenuating circumstances require us to take one of your alts instead of your main.
-=[WEAPONS/SHIELDS/OFFHANDS/TRINKETS]=-
Weapons are the only thing we have special exceptions for in most, if not all of our raids. Weapons, in general, are one of the harder items to attain within the game, and we like to ensure that they are given to those that work the hardest within our raid composition, whether they are a guildie, or a pug that comes with us week after week.
DPS Requirements • Minimum DPS equivilent to whats needed for the content • Perform any special tasks required for the current boss fight • Attack the appropriate target on bosses • Solid raid attendance Healer Requirements • Able to keep up with our other healers on Recount/Skada • Perform any special tasks required for the current boss fight • Solid raid attendance Tank Requirements • Able to follow critical instructions on bosses as MT or OT • Perform any special tasks required for the current boss fight • Solid raid attendance
-=[LOOT PRIORITY]=-
Lastly, though the DKP system is intended to make loot distribution much more fair, and easier to understand who has the highest loot priority in the guild, TANKS and HEALERS will generally have a higher priority on new loot than DPS.
Newer and harder bosses often cannot be killed with an undergeared tank, or healers unable to keep up with the incoming damage. Generally an intervention to give a piece of gear to a tank or healer over someone else will ONLY be done if the piece of gear would be an extremely beneficial upgrade to their current gear.
